Ararat Ski Tour: 6-Day Adventure

Experience the thrill of ski touring on the majestic Mount Ararat in spring. Perfect for adventure seekers, this tour runs throughout April, offering a memorable snow skiing experience.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Dogubayazit
Meet at Van, Agri, or Igdir Airport and transfer to Dogubayazit city. Settle into a comfortable hotel and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Overnight in Hotel (Dogubayazit). Meals: Dinner.


Day 2: Ascent to Winter Base Camp (2,900 meters)
After breakfast, transfer to Cevirme village at 2,200 meters. Begin the ascent to the winter base camp at 2,900 meters, which takes approximately 4 hours. Spend the night under the stars in tents.
Overnight in Tent (Base Camp). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.


Day 3: Ski to Second Camp (3,500 meters)
Enjoy breakfast before ascending to the winter second camp at 3,500 meters using skis. The trek takes around 3 hours. Relax and rest in your tent after the day’s adventure.
Overnight in Tent (Second Camp). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.


Day 4: Summit Day (5,137 meters)
Embark on the ultimate challenge of the tour—ascending to Mount Ararat’s summit at 5,137 meters. The climb takes about 8 hours, followed by an exhilarating ski descent back to the second camp at 3,500 meters.
Overnight in Tent (Second Camp). Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.


Day 5: Descent and Return to Dogubayazit
Pack your equipment after breakfast and begin your descent. Ski from the second camp to 2,700 meters, then continue to Cevirme village at 2,200 meters. Meet the bus for a scenic drive back to Dogubayazit.
Overnight in Hotel (Dogubayazit). Meals: Breakfast, Dinner.


Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Van, Agri, or Igdir Airport for your departure.
Meals: Breakfast.
